Backhandspring.

I am on a pop warner team and I was at practice the other night and a girl on my team spotted me on my backhandspring and... I bent my arms and hit my head. Like 2 practices ago I was so close... I did not bend my arms at all my feet were together it was like really good. Now its horrible. So beacause I hit my head I am now really scared to do a backhandspring... I watch other girls on my team do theirs and I feel like I am going to puke!!! I don't know what to do. I need it in like 3 days!!! Please help!!!

The best thing that you can do is get right back in there and do the EXACT thing that you were doing when you hit your head, I know that it sounds freaky, but my stunt dropped one of our teammates out of an extension and she broke her leg, the VERY next practice she made us do the same exact stunt with the same exact people, besides the flyer ofcourse, and I'm fine now. The only thing that upset me was the flyer that we put an extension the next day was like, " Great, I'm with the group that dropped her!" and when I went into the stunt I just started crying, SO bad, it was like it was replaying in my head the second I was in ready-set. Anyway, just go back and do it!! Good Luck!!!

Ok. First of all, you need to get over your fear and the only way you can do that is if you just go for it. Dont think about it so hard! Just do what you know you're supposed to do. Keep those arms strait and solid! Be confident when you go for it. Id say you need to have someone who knows what they are doing spot you. Find someone who you know can spot you good and do it with them a few times. Ask for a strong spot for the first few times, then go to a lighter spot each time. I promise you, if you just go for it you can do it. Good luck girly I hope I helped somehow!

I had the SAME problem! I went to do a backhandspring, and in the middle of it just chickened out! You need to find someone you TRUST will catch you if you fall again. Then, work at until youve gained back your confidence. That worked for me,hope it works for you!
