Nextel Antenna, $15 or $48?

Went to local Nextel Store for replacement Antenna, they said it would be $15, they started by removing my SIM card, they wanted to see if it was a valid Account, and info in SIM card. I told them to stop, that they don't need my SIM Info.
I called the Customer Service and informed them, like I informed the Repair Center that I do work for Different Military and Government Agencies and felt they didn't need to read SIM Info, They agreed and said they would place a note on my account stating to sell me the antenna and not read SIM.
So I go back to the repair center, they say it is now $48.
Is this a penaly charge for not letting them read my info, or are they being a JERK?
Anyone buy an Antenna for a Motorola i560 from Nextel Repair? How much?

Most likely being a jerk, but of course, they had a right to verify you had an account, that the phone was not stolen and more. so sorry but sounds like you may have been one also, and now getting to pay the reward for it.

Stratmando disagrees: I was suprisingly pleasant, They can verify My account without opening Sim, Still $15 or $48
