I need you to tell me how to fix the cd drive

Well Im a big star craft player. And well when I put the starcraft game in the cd reader the computer sounds like its about to do something but the game never shows up on the screen. Well then I xed out of it and tried to click on the starcraft symbol on my desk top then it said that it could'nt read/find a file. So then i decided to uninstall the whole game and try it that way. It still wont read the game. Could some one please help me with this.

Click on My Computer, Go to your cd drive (whichever one that is) and then right click on it, and click open, see if it shows you the files that are on the cd, if it does, find autorun in those files and click it, if not, then make sure the drive is getting power and also that the computer is recognizing it.

first thing you need to do is right click on my computer go to properties and left click. go to your hardware tab and left click on it. left click on the device manager button. you will see a list of ALL hardware on your computer in alphabetical order. look for you cd/dvd drive and if it has a + next to it left click on the + to open the choices menu. if you have a yellow triangle or red circle try uninstalling and reinstalling the drive by right clicking and going through the menu. VERY IMPORTANT reboot after each and every uninstall and install!! if you have problems still with the drive and go to Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! and buy a new samsung or whatever brand of drive you prefer. newegg is cheapest place on net to acquire new drives. and replace it. if you have more than one cd /dvd drive make certain that they are all set on jumper to cable select or master slave . i have found that with newer systems that cs works best. hope this helps.
