toshiba cd-rom not workin

How do i make my Toshiba cd-rom work? I'm tryin to hook up my Lemark printer and my cd-rom is not reading the install disk.

more info if possible, does cd rom read any other cds you have with no problems?
has this happened before or just with this one disk?
