loading cd roms

Every time I try to load a cd install rom I am getting the message from installshield that error 6005 has occured. I know I need to change something inmy settings but I dont know what. Is ther another way of insalling without isntallshield?

I am trying to install a printer. Epson R265 and my OS is Windows XP

Google error 6005. And how old is the printer? It may be too old. Also make sure the disk isn't scratched.

It says Install Shield error 6005 and the printer is brand new

have you called Epson? Did you just try using Add New Printer and seeing if its listed? If Not listed try the Have Disk option.
