My DVD/CD DRIVE for my laptop STOPPED working!

Hello there! I bought a hp pavilion laptop about 7 months ago. I could play dvds and cds on it. It was working fine until my little brother did something to make the computer crash. When i tried to reboot it it said to enter my computers recovery disk to restore my computer. After i did i tried to play Civilization 4 and it wouldnt play. i then tried multiple cds and dvds and nothing happened. when i load the disks in it at it first sounds like it is loading the cd up but nothing happens. i went to my computer and looked at drives but all i saw was (C: )local disk and (D: )HP_RECOVERY. What does this mean???? i want to cry from stress because now i cant even play World of Warcraft because i have to reinstall and it takes like 2 1/2 days to download off of the internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normally the CD/DVD drives are coming with the Software CD. I think you should re-install the CD/DVD drive in your system using the Software CD.
