FIXED: Computer not working after putting in DVD drive

I just put in a new DVD drive, replacing my old CD drive, and my computer is no longer working. It takes quite a while at the detecting IDE devices part of booting up, then says insert boot disk. It's not detecting any primary/secondary masters or slaves.

I checked the cables and they seemed fine, and I tried putting in the old CD drive and it still wasn't working...

I'm not sure this is relevant, but I had to restart it a few times because it was saying there is no power to the video card... that is probably a PSU problem, but I'm not positive. I couldn't open the cd/dvd drives, either.

Is there any hope left? I can't afford to get a new computer right now...

Edit: Nevermind. I was frequently dropped on my head as a baby. I put in the IDE cable upside-down.
