color problems burning a dvd

Here is a question that I cannot find the answer for. I have had this Dell computer with windows xp for 4 years. I have Adobe Premiere Elements that I use to burn DVDs. When I import my camcorder video, all is well and colors are fine. When I make an AVI from that video it is still ok. When I play that avi with windows media player all is still fine. Just when I burn to disc do I seem to have this color problem. Reds are purple! So, even though the Adobe Forum members said that the burner was not the problem, I changed it anyway. I have tried different tv's and different disc players, same problem. Does anyone have any idea what to try next?

I have no experience with Premiere, but you haven't received an answer so here is what my troubleshooting process would be:
  • Google problem (I didn't find anything).
  • Contact Adobe Support.
  • Look for colorspace model settings in Premiere - AVI uses RGB, DVD uses YCrCb.
  • Update video drivers.
  • Fiddle with video card hardware acceleration.
