Cd drive will not read CDs

hey, I recently went to install Hellgate : London but my CD drive wont read the disk, saying there is an empty disk in the drive, asking me if i want to format it. please help, this problem is very annoying

you should try this, even if you do not have this particular error, it often fixes problems such as you are experiencing, doing this will not harm or change anything you have installed on your system, it involves removing 2 registry keys.
