Access denied to D:

Someone has denied me the access to my D: of my pc.
Whenever i click on D: it shows access denied.
I have all my back ups there.
Please help me out to open up my D:

have you restarted the machine recently, is this a partition on 1 drive C: or an external drive, has anything been installed recently, hardware or software?
are you logged in as admin, can you right click on d: and see what properties says
