Young Kitten Eye Infections

I usually am able to clean out baby kittens' eye infections with a little bit of peroxide, but this time its different.
My cat has 6 three week old kittens. All but two have one or both of their eyes sealed shut because of what seems to be a common (puss) infection. Peroxide has not worked on them this time.
Aside from spending $100+ on emergency care, is there a home remedy for young kitten's eye infections.
Thank you in advance.

How many litters has your cat had?

One of the problems with breeding a pet is the cost of Vet care - I question the use of peroxide in the eyes of 3 week old kittens.

They need to see a Vet.

artlady agrees: Peroxide can kill off good bacteria, unless you know the infection it is clearly not a cure all method! Have an animal when you can afford one and only then!

People complain about the cost of spaying their cat/dog then don't seem to realise a vet visit with a bunch of kittens can cost a lot more.

Stop using the peroxide and go to the vet to get some proper eye drops for them.

Peroxide can actually eat away good bacteria so unless you are sure what the infection is ,peroxide may very well be counter productive.

The mother may be sick and passed on something to the kits through birth.
How do you take care of your animals?
Do they ever see a vet?
If not you really need to think about how you are hurting the Mom and the kittens.
