Why is my cat walking around like he doesn't know where he is?
My cat usually messes around in my room in the early morning, so it's kind of a normal thing. But right now it's 5:52 and my cat is wandering around the room like he has no idea where he is. He is literally walking slowly, making a giant circle and going into smaller circles just sniffing and bumping into things. He was making a lot of noise in the bathroom so I went to go check, and he was just standing there, rotating his head to the left until he hit the wall and back to the right then back to the wall. And then he went into a full circle through the little space between the toilet and the wall. And he went back out in my room and somehow got in my covered hamper and got stuck.
He does have diabetes and I think he's either 9 or 8, closer to 9 if anything. He's never acted this way at all.
I thought his blood sugar was low, so I gave him some treats. But he couldn't find them when I laid them on the floor in front of him unless I brought it to his nose straight to the floor.
I picked him up so he couldn't get stuck anywhere else, and he went limp in my arms and meowed. I put him on my bed to see if he'd stay and he just laid down on the corner.
I have no idea what just happened to him, but it really wasn't like he normally is, or even when his blood pressure is low(he just lays there with a glazed look). I'd really appreciate if you could help me even in the slightest bit.

Monitor your cat and see if anything else is out of order. Check eating and bathroom habits. It is possible your cat could have an ear infection and its throwing them off a bit. Or they could have been doing something stupid and got bumped in the head. It can caus disorientation for a bit.

A vet check sounds like a great idea.

Something else to consider, have you brought in any new plants, cleaning supplies, health care supplies, etc. he might have gotten into?

I agree that a vet check sounds like a good idea. If for no reason other than to make certain this isn't a complication of his Diabetes.
