what to give a nursing cat
    Hello,

The best thing for a nursing momma kitty is a high quality kitten food such as Hill's Science Diet or Iams. You might want to mix 50/50 with a regular Science Diet or Iams adult food to help avoid diahrrea.

Cheap grocery store foods are a no-no as they contain mostly fillers and preservatives with little nutritional value. They can, over time, cause health problems such as bladder infections, crystal formation in the bladder, etc.

    Good luck with the babies!

    Regards,

    Michelle :)

Nursing cat [ 1 Answers ]

My cat has been nursing 5 weeks. The kittens are now gone. The cats nipples are still producing and are very swollen. Is this normal and if so when will this subside. Is there anything I should be aware of?
