weening kittens

I recently came across 6 abandend kitten. I am guessing they are around 4 weeks old. I have been bottle feeding them for a week now. How do I get them to drink out of bowl. I am finding I dont have the time to constantly keep bottle feeding them. I have tried all I know to do from mixing in soft food with the formula to just straight formula. If anyone has any advice on this matter it would be GREATLY apprciated. Thanks

there are several functions you have to perform for those tiny beings, if only four weeks old. You have to rub their tummies with quew tips to make them eliminate, you have to clean them off (figuring a way of doing it the way a mom cat would). I suggest you call a vet and ask their advice if what you are doing isnt working. The soft food mixed with formula was a good idea and it may still work. You just have to give them time to figure it all out. If they get hungry enough they will go for it. Have patience.

A lady that i work with (she's a retired RN) said that she used to mix pablum with a little warm water to feed her kittens when weaning. try it. not much pablum mind you keep it runny like youd put it through a baby bottle nipple.
