    Suckling 6 Month old Female!
Hi am new here my name is Marlene. I have a 6 month old cat that is suckling on its own arm usually in the morning just before we leave to go to work and school. This has been happening since we got her. We also have her sister and she does not do it. She will meow then she will put her two paws on you. Then start kneading and suckling on her arm and it last about an half hour or until she falls to sleep. I have had many cats in my day and I yet to have a cat that does this... Is there any thing that I can do for her? Or is there anything wrong that I should be concerned about with her?

    Thank you

I don't think it's anything to really worry about. I've never had a cat suckle herself, but I've had a cat, about 6 months old as well, that would suckle one of our older boy cats. I think that it is just a comforting habit for her. Also, how old was she when she was taken from her mom? Because this could also be a result of her being separated from her mom too soon. Hope this helps:)
