    Hello Flowerchild,

I responded to your message already, but just wanted to make sure you get the info.

Feed momma Iams kitten for the extra nutrition and mix it with the canned. Slowly decrease the canned until you only have dry left. She'll eventually eat it when she gets hungry enough.

Mush up the dry Iams kitten with milk replacer or just plain water until it is canned food consistancy, then place on a saucer in a box with the kittens. They will get messy but that is the best way to teach them to eat.

Put them completely on dry at about 6 to 7 weeks.

    Regards,

I just wanted to thank you for the help and to let you know she is doing much better after we wormed her. The kittens will be 5 weeks old Sunday the 9, I soften kitten chow for them but only one seems to eat it and the mother eats it all before they do even though she really does not care for it. Are they getting enough from her at 5 weeks old? And when do you think they will start eating better? Thanks

    Hello,

Glad to hear she is doing better.

Kittens generally nurse at least 7 to 8 weeks. They start weening at that time. Mom produces more than enough milk for them so don't worry if they don't start eating yet.

    Regards,
