Cat bleeding after giving birth (1 day)
Yesterday (thanksgiving) my cat gave birth to four kittens, one didn't make it. The mom has been doing great, but is now slightly more aggitated, keeps leaving the 'nest', She always goes back and has been eating well. But she is also bleeding from her vaginal area. I know it is normal to bleed after birth, but for how long?

My cat did the same thing , its normal my cat bleed for days after she gave birth to her kittens. Also she seemed to linger away from her kittens very often so just in case I bought a little feeding bottle and cat milk. The mother might even know something is wrong with her kittens because also all the kittens eventually died one by one they all had breathing problems. Just let nature take its coarse. In the end though the mom cat was fine. But if she is bleeding very heavily I would take her to the vet. I hope this helps. Good luck I love cats they are so cute!

Yes, if the problem doesn't clear up quickly, then I really suggest letting a vet take a look at her. Is there any chance there is a kitten that got stuck still in her?

Take her and her kits to the vet to get checked out. Feed that babies if she does not.

I think you should be just look after her and let her no your there for her, I've had three births within the last two months, but she's should be OK, she goes away because she's not caring a load, but she goes back, even when I sit her where I have it, if something seems odd call a vet.
