Time to take him to the vets then.

jcray, it is very hard for us to answer what is going on with Blue without being able to see him.

Either you, or your parents, need to take him to the vet immediately if you are trying to wake him, and he is staying in one place and won't wake up or move. This is very serious. Please get him to the veterinarian.

Is he just sleeping more than usual, or is it a different kind of sleep? If he reacts the same as he usually does when you pet him, and acts normally between his sleeps, it's nothing to worry about if it doesn't last more than a couple of days... cats sleep quite a bit normally, and if he's had an exciting day (chased by another cat, you had company in the house, that sort of thing), he may just be worn out and is resting up for a day or two. This is especially true for older cats. If it lasts more than a few days, you might want to take him to the vet, especially if he's an outside cat who might have gotten into a fight... that tiredness can be an early sign that he's got an injury that's getting infected.

If it's not normal sleep, and he's not wanting to eat, you should definitely take him to the vet as soon as possible. He might be sick, and your kitty just can't tell you what's wrong.

RubyPitbull agrees: good info. I was under the impression the cat is not responding at all.

How old is your cat? Maybe it's getting older and doesn't enjoy doing the things it used to do. But it'd be a good idea to get your cat to the vet as soon as possible, even if you do assume its just old age.
