Transmission assistance

I have a 1999 Ford Winstar and my car will only go in reverse. I checked my transmission fluid and it was empty. I filled up the transmission fluid and I am letting it sit. Is it to late to save my car?

It sounds like the transmission has gone out, you need to have a shop ( guess you can drive it backwards ) I would try and get two estimates.
