vw radio

i want to swap the deck from a 97 vw golf and put my alpine deck in instead.
is it going to bug anything cause i know that vw alarme system is in the radio.
if yes how can i bypass.

Usually I have seen installers use a "Y" specific connector and hide the original radio behind the dash (wrapped in a rag for later use), this way the computer still detects the original radio and you can use any other radio you want. If you have the wiring diagram, you could do this on your own (lots of patience, budd connectors and wire)
