Trouble Starting, Clicks a few times then starts, power is fine

Car:Subaru outback, 98

A while back I went to start it and got the 'click' tried again and it started no prob.
A few weeks later same thing, but took a few tries to start, was sluggish to start at first but then turned over.
Yesterday it did it again. Clicked about 4-5 times, then a little engine noised, finally it turned over. Throughout the day it started ok, but did notice a slight sluggishnes trying to start sometimes. (engine was warm from being driven around).
This morning tried to start and same thing. It finally turned over, drove around for about 10 minutes and turned engine off. Tried to restart right away, clicked a couple of times then started.
Somethings going out but not sure what.
The battery is fairly new, power seems fine. Lights, windows etc worked as normal.

Thanks for your help!
Chris

If the clicking sound is from the starter solenoid, then read this:

If the clicking sound is from under the dash, focus on the main relay and ECM.

Dude, check your battery connections. People tend NOT to put them on tight enough or don't clean them when replacing battery. If all is well with them, move on to your starter.
