Toublr code:P0440 in 98 Nissan Altima

I have a 1998 Nissan Altima. Yesterday, the light of "Engine Service Soon" was turned on. I wend to Auto Zone for find the error code for the light. They came the code: P0440. The problem is that the evaporative emission system is monitored for it's ability to hold vacuum. What is the solution for this trouble?

Thanks

Check all hoses and hose connections. Ensure gas cap seals properly.

Hi

Po440 is an evap leak code.Did you happen to get gas in the past couple days? If you did make sure your gas cap is fully sealed and clicks a couple of times. Possible faulty cap also.

There is also a couple more evap systems tied into the car as well, Loose cap is notorious for PO 440 code

Thanks
