Chrome Wheel Scratches

Chrome Wheel Scratches

My son pulled a little too close to the curb, and now there are scratches on the side of his chrome aluminum wheels. Is there anything I can use to minimize the scratches without doing further damage to the finish, or do I have to leave it to the professionals?
