snapped off a star shaped tool bit while trying to change a head gasket

hi there can anyone help me with my big problem,i was trying to put a new head gasket on my 1995 ford escort z-tec engine when i tried to undo the star shaped bolts on the cylinder head when the my star shaped bit sheared off flush in the bolt is there anything anyone could suggest to help me in my unfortunate situation i'm at a loss of what to try any suggestions
