removing hub/rotor on '01 honda civic

How do you get the rotors off the front of a 2001 honda civic EX. I removed the wheel, brakes and the axel nut but the rotor won't budge. Is the spindle an intregral part of hub?? I need to replace a wheel stud that snapped off.
