OK yall 1995 Chevy silverado Extended cab 5.7 liter with 4L60e automatic tranny

OK here it This is what has been replaced Fuel pump and sending unit,idle air control valve(iav)map sensor,throttle postion sensor plug wires ignition module Throttle Body was Cleaned and rebuilt Brand new computer New oxgyen sensor BEw temp guage sensor and water temp sensor.


This truck has idled funny ever since i bought it it had 125,000+ miles on it its got 145,000+now from my experience i know the tbi which was gms first try at fuel injection in the pickups wasnt the greatest my 1987 chevy silverado and my 89 gmc suburban never idled as bad as the 1995 does ithink 800 rpms is about the sitting still idle well if it sits and runs a few mins it drops drastically the worst thing is the 87 was pieced together lol im curious as to what might be somethin i haven checked or i dont know about to be replaced thanks again yall CHEVY FOR LIFE

. Check for codes.
. Check for vacuum leaks.
. Check EGR Valve.
. Check/replace the coil--AutoZone will test for free.

No codes all new vaccum hoses Brand new egr valve and selonoid and coil isnt but a few months old go figure i love the truck im a chevy guy all the way thanks for the reply

Look into how to set the idle rpm. It may be similar to the link below. Regardless, it may give you some ideas.

Well i thought about that and i found out its sealed the idleSet screw on the tbi unit from the factory (The tbi units has been tampered with )so im thinkin cuase the tbi unit has had this done im gonna put a brand new gm tbi unit with new injectors on it but ill keep ya up to date on it thanks for the info

You may need a thorough injector cleaning. I own a '95 Silverado and the only thing drivability I've needed to replace is the TPS due to a slight heitation/stumble, and the EGR due to a CEL: DTC 32. You can inspect the TB gasket: remove the air cleaner and hold the throttle fully open while looking down the throttle bore. If the throttlebody gasket is out of place you will see it protrude into the venturi. Replace as necessary.

Take a small screwdriver and dig the seal out. Then, you can disconnect the IAC Valve and set idle speed to spec.
