Cat back emission problems

Hey guys, I just got a magnaflow exhaust installed, and I think there might be some of the exhaust gases going in to the car. Whenever I start to pick up speed, it starts to smell weird in the car, I hope CO2 inst going in the car. The magnaflow system was a tight fit, so I dont know if there are leaks, although the mechanic did see if there were and didn't feel any, but is it possible for the exhaust gases to go in the car?
