Can Anyone help me out with a site where I can find parts/info for my Honda S-MX ( Lowdown ). Made 1997. I have checked alot of places, websites and can't seem 2 find a site where I can find parts. I see parts for actually all other models such as the acura, odessy, prelude, cr-v, crx and so on.....but I can't see any site with parts for the S-MX. Can anyone help me out please....maybe if you have a direct site of a dealer in japan where I can retrieve parts from, it would be great hearing from you guys....

I just noticed your question. I also own a Honda S-MX Lowdown and faced similar problems.

If you go onto ebay and search for the following "Hyper Rev Style RV JDM book Honda S-MX Vol 33 No 2 Rare" you can purchase what is considered the bible for tiuning and customising S-MXs. It will cost you around £24 without postage.

It is not good for general wear and tear items but absolutely fantastic if you want to customise your S-MX. For general parts, your local Honda dealer should be able to supply most of what you need - even if it means shipping it in. But remember the SMX shares the same engine as the CRV (the B20B engine) so engine parts should not be a problem. For other items like CV joints, bearings, etc. you will have to take the old item into Honda, or your local car parts shop, for a match-up.

The downside with the Hyper Rev book is that a lot of it is in Japanese (60%) with enough english describing items and providing technical data. A real plus with the book is that it contains telephone numbers of businesses in Japan. So, if you have a japanese friend, ask them to call and order the parts you require. Alertnatively, get in touch with an importer of Japanese cars and ask them to ship the parts you need.

Where do you live, I am in Japan, keep this post handy and contact me before the end of November, I am waiting on the word for a new job here with the US Government, if I get the job I will be able to help you out with most items, nothing bigger than say two tires put together or if the drivers seat was broken down into two pieces and put in a box, thats about the largest thing I could send for cheap. Bigger stuff, big bucks. I have done exporting here already, but need this job to start it up again. End of the month, dont forget, I can read most Japanese also, if you get the book, can you scan the page?
