Insurance Rate for 18 Year Old

Hi. I am 18 years old, did well in high school, and attend a good college. My dad got me a 97 corolla and this will be my first car. I was wondering, how much does insurance cost for a person like me per year? I live in New York City (Queens) and I just wanted to know about how much it will run for insurance. Thanks a bunch!

Call an insurance agent, go online and obtain a quote but keep in mind if the veh is registered in you Dad's name, it's technically, legally his veh and only he can/should purchase the insurance. You need to be listed as the driver of course and the rates will be predicated on the price for an 18 yr old M/F, living at a certain addr, with ? violations/accidents in the last 3 yrs or so, and also on the veh symbol, ie a Chevy Corvette is a symbol 23 and a Chevy Cavalier is an ins symbol 8 etc. plus how long you have had your license, whether or not you have completed Driver Tng, whether or not you have excellent grades. .... just too many different factors to give you a rate.... just call, visit and ask. .... online you wont get proper advice.
