1985 300ZX Turbo Keep or Sell?

I've had this car for 5 years now at about 85K. Runs very strong, I know what it needs and what it doesn't
need. I realize I won't get back what I put into the car, but I guess you could say I'm looking for something a little more mature.

Don't have the money to buy a new car, and I don't want to get another used car with hidden problems. I am sort of stuck in car limbo.

If this car has been a reliable vehicle and needs only a few minor repairs to keep it in tip top condition - keep it. If the body is in good shape and you are comfortable driving it - keep it. If you like not having a monthly car payment - keep it. You know the car and the car knows you - keep it. Why take on the new headaches of another car? Good reliable cars are hard to come by - just because a car is a new car in my mind means nothing. I've owned brand new cars, vans, etc and cars that were one owner. I'd rather keep a good used car anyday. Some brand new cars can be hidden problem children also. I'd rather keep my old Jeep anyday as I know how to fix it and know all it's funny sounds.

I vote keep it. Those 300ZX's are soon to be hard to find classics and the value of the vehicle will increase versus decrease shortly. Just keep it in good working condition, change the oil every other jerk and you'll be fine. Don't change the car's original color if you need to get it repainted as that will devalue the vehicle instead of increase value. My mother was a Master Antique Car Judge and I learned a lot from her by going to the Antique car shows all around the country where she would judge cars. Her specialty was the cars from the 1930's and 1940's.
