Indicator lamp

My malfunction indicator lamp light come on in my 2004 Honda accord LX. What could be the problem ?

Take your car to AutoZone and they will connect a scanner to the Data Link Connector and tell you what Diagnostic Trouble Codes are stored in the computer. AZO will do this for free.

First, ensure your gas cap is closed tightly.

Why have Cap Tight, not disagreeing, curious.
I have run into Fuel starvation due to clogged Vent. Fuel pump would pump til Vacuum became too great. Thanks

If the cap does not seal properly, the CEL will come on and a DTC will likely be thrown.
