1. Remove oil pan drain plug and drain oil into a catch pan
2. Replace drain plug
3. Unscrew oil filter drain and discard
4. Apply a thin film of oil to gasket on new oil filter and fill filter 1/2 full of oil
5. Screw on new oil filter till it is hand tight then go 3/4 of a turn more
6. Refill motor with the specified amount of oil
7. Check oil level on dipstick, fill to full mark--do not overfill
8. Start motor let it run for a minute
9. Shut motor off
10.Check for leaks at drain plug bolt and oil filter
11.Wait a few minutes for oil to drain back into pan then re-check oil level on dipstick
12. Add if necessary to full mark
