| | | hooking up a cb radio i bought a midland model 1000 and i heard that you can take the black and red wires from your cb radio and put it into a cigerette lighter plug. how would i do this and how hard is it? also im wonedering how you hook it up regularly to your fuse box, please tell me which hole to plug which plug into. thank you | | | | | | |

| Unless you have a cigarette adapter, you cannot simply push the wires into the socket and make it work. Red wire is hot wire and black should be ground. |

well yeah i know, but where do i get a cigarette adapter, if i have an old cell phone car charger can i take that apart and put the wires into the right spot inside of it and put it back toeather? |

Get the cigarette lighter adapter at RadioShack or the like. Make certain the cigarette socket works, too. The phone charger could be adapted, depends on the design. |

thank you very much, greatly apreciated. im also wondering, with the antenna, how do i get the wire from inside the cab to the antenna? do i drill a small hole and silicone the hell out of it or do i run it out the door? if i run it out the door will the door cut or damage the wire? |

You can run the antenna just about any of those ways. That may depend on the antenna mount and location. You shouldn't have a problem with damage, unless the door is hitting metal to metal now. Just stay away from the hinges and the latch.
