Honda Accord fuel pump does not activate
I just replaced the head gasket on my 1990 honda accord EX because it overheated due to a rusted radiator. I had no problems before this and the car started every time. Now when I go to start it for the first time, it doesn't start. It cranks perfectly fine, but when I tested a few things I found that my car is not getting any fuel. I took off the fuel line and there was no pressure. I can not hear my fuel pump even activating when I turn the key to on. I already replaced my main relay, but that did not do anything. What else can I look for?

. Check all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter. Here's how:

. Perform the K-Test on the ECM: Remove the MAP Sensor connector and turn the ignition switch to ON (not start). Using a multimeter, check for 5 volts going between the MAP Sensor connector's reference wire (+) and ground. As you look at the connector, this is the socket on the right. Really press the black test lead into a cleaned main ECM ground on the thermostat housing. If the voltage is low, it's probably indicating ECM failure. Most failed ECMs will record a fraction of a volt. The ECM controls the second relay inside the main relay, which controls the fuel pump.

. Clean the main ECM ground on the thermostat housing. It's a 3-wire brass connector.

. Ensure the Check Engine Light comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to Position II.

Wow, would have never even thought about the ECM ground. I hadn't bolted the thermostat housing back on, and had no idea it grounded the ECM. Thanks so so much! Now I just have to get this thing running right
