Use newspaper to sell a car?

I have been trying to sell my Nissan Xterra by putting up flyers, signs on the Xterra, and posting on Craigslist...
NO LUCK.
I was wondering, should put up the money to list it in the local paper?
Or on Ebay?
I know Ebay cost $40 to list and $40 when sold... EXPENSIVE in my book.
I don't know the cost of newspaper, I am curious if anyone has bought or sold a vehicle through these means.
Thanks

Most online venues, in my opinion have been so flooded it's hard to even get an ad noticed, let alone responded to.

I'd put a sign on it and park it on the side of a busy intersection

I agree with the flooded online market.
I have recieved some interest from the side of the road method, but I guess I will get a bigger sign.
Thanks
