    Head gasket
    I have a honda civic 1989 120,000 miles 3dr. 1.5 std

I blew the head gasket last summer and its been sitting all winter. The head gasket was replaced 30.000 miles ago but someone messed up.
I just now got the head resurfaced and oem bolts and gasket per the tsb $200!

I am cleaning the old gasket material off the block
And inevitably some has fallen into the coolant jacket and oil passages
That surround the cylinder as well as some dirt - working outside.
    - I haven't drained the coolant from the block yet or drained the oil.

How do I clean out oil and coolant passages in block?? Also the coolant and oil that has
Dripped into the head bolt passages which will throw off torque specs??

Manual recommends the removal of the oil control jet from between cylanders two and three and the replacement of its' o-ring
How do I do this?? Is it necassarry? What are the ramifications of this nozzle being clogged? Will oil no longer be able to lubricatge partular areas of the engine?
    Than you.

Was the vehicle sitting outside during the winter? Was it around snow or rain? If you had a blown head gasket that was exposed those type of elements, you may have bigger problems than just a head gasket. You may have had coolant in the cylinders which can start to corrode if you leave it sit too long without running it.
