The Car That I Have As Described Above Keeps Knocking When The Engine Starts But It Still Run But Rugged, And Harsh. All Rocker Arms Are Moving And Seems Like Everything Is Ok But What Could It Be??
the knocking noise could be a few things first i would say a rod knock. the rod is at the bottom of the engine and is connected to the crankshaft with a bearing. if the bearing wears out it will cause the rod to bang on the crank( or knock) the next thing is the balancer . the balancer is at the end of the crankshaft and the drive belts go around it ford had a problem with them an i had cars come in my before and i thought the engine was no good but it was the balancer( mostly on the tempo)
