gauge pod swap

i have a 98 chev cavalier, 5 speed, 2.2l and it has the standard gauge pod with no rpm gauge, does anyone know if i can switch it with the z24 pod that has a rpm gauge in it? or is there any pod that anyone know of that i can use or do i have to just install a rpm gauge up on the dash or somthing? one thing to keep in mind is that the pod i have now is not a digital and the z24 gauges pod is digital but will it still work. please help if anyone knows the answere.
