Cranks, but won't start.

I have a 93 Toyota pickup with a 22RE engine. It will crank over perfect but only attempts to start as if it were starving for fuel. It will run on starting fluid, but then dies out.

Could you have bad gas or need a fuel filter or fuel pump?

Sounds like the fuel pump gave up. Have a fuel pressure check performed. The pump is in the tank, so you're looking at some cost here.
Make sure the 'EFI' fuse, located in the engine compartment fuse box is still good. The check engine light should come on when the key is turned to start. If not, an electrical short has shut down the fuel delivery.
