Confuse with engine and tranmission

I'm having hard time, i had honda civic 93 hatch with no motor and tranmission. I am buying 5 speed manual for my car and I'm not sure if i can buy motor that hook up with AT transmission and i was wondering if it work if i take the AT transmission off the motor and put the motor in my car and hook up with 5 speed. Does it will work?

Was the vehicle already equipped with a manual trans? If not, you'll need the shifter and clutch linkages to make it function. As far as connection to the frame and engine, it should all fit with the right mounts.

Someone said clutches and flywheel cant hook up with motor and AT transmission EG. I need to know how to hook up motor with 5 speed but my car is honda civic 93 hatch and i cant tell what type like lx or crx or dx all i see my car had 98 headlights but back of my car taillight look like 93 it all look like custom to me

First, the flywheel is different from manual to auto, so don't try it. The A/T flywheel will not be drilled an tapped to accept the clutch pressure plate, as well as other features.

Concentrate on the front suspension similarities and the subframe configuration and mounts, like I said before. THAT'S how the motor/trans combo fits in. Move cautiously and compare all aspects before buying components. Good luck!!
