Code P0446

I have a 1999 Nissan Sentra with a 1.6 Liter engine and automatic transmission. The check engine light is on and the code is P0446, Evap Emission Control System Vent Circuit Malfunction. I checked my Haynes manual, but there is nothing in the book about this code. Is there a electrically operated valve some where that should be replaced? If so, can someone tell me where it is located? Or is there some other item I should be looking at?

P0446 Evap Canister Vent Control Solenoid It is mounted on the canister.
The solenoid may be the problem. Who did the diag? Who'll do the repair?

The diag was done at a local auto parts store (Advanced Auto I believe) using their hand held computer. If it is a matter of replacing a vent valve, as long as it is a one person job, I will give it a try. I assume that I can test the vent valve by applying 12 VDC across the coil. I realize that it can also be a connector or wiring problem especially if the connector is exposed to rain, road salt, etc.
