car wont start after running out of gas

My 99 honda passport's fuel guage doesn't work but I am assuming I ran out of gas at the bottom of a steep hill. It was running fine until I started up the hill and then it ran out of power. I put 2 gallons of gas in it and it wouldn't start. We added 4 gallons more and it still wouldn't start. I had it towed to a flat area and now it still wont start. I just bought it used and I haven't a clue where anything is. It seems like it isn't getting any gas and there's no pressure in the fuel line. What should i do?

You will need to test the main engine relay (fuel pump relay) to see if it is sending power to the fuel pump.

Then the fuel pump will be the next item tested, how are you checking for fuel pressure?

You may also have a problem with the ignition switch electrical portion?
