The car starts, but is stuck in park....

[F]It's a toyota corolla... And the car turns on and everything, but it's like stuck in park, and you can't put it in reverse or drive... Anyone know what the heck is going on here??[/font]

If one of your brake lights are burned out, it may not shift because of the brake interlock. You should have an overide button on the console to bypass it...

Have the Automatic Transmission Gear Position Switch (Neutral Position Switch) checked.

See if the brake lights come on when the pedal is depressed. If not, blown "stop" fuse. OR, bad brake pedal switch. It all ties in with the shift lock solenoid under your shifter.
