A/C Trouble Clutch 2001 Dodge P/U 1500

A/C Trouble Clutch 2001 Dodge P/U 1500

I have added freon to the a/c lines and it will work for a little; 20-30min and then the clutch shuts off and will not come back on till I push in the clutch on the compressor. when it's running the air is very cold coming out but then after 20-30min it cuts off; what could this mean do I need to get a new clutch or the whole compressor?????

Dodge 1500; 318 five speed 189000 miles.
