A/C problems on 2003 Honda Accord

The a/c on my 2003 honda accord will all of a sudden stop blowing cold air. I already had the filter changed thinking that was the problem. The mechanic is having a hard time figuring out what is wrong with it because everything checks out good but seems to think it could be a sensor or something. It doesnt stop blowing air it just isn't cold and after awhile it will start to get cold again. Has anyone else had this problem or tell me what might be wrong with it?

Have him check the expansion valve.

i'm having the same problem, dealer charging me 81 $ per hr to diagnose it. They just called me and said that it's going up to 240 $ and they still don't know what the problem is. My ac just intermittently shuts off, then after a while it goes back on. Did you ever figure out what the problem is? they said it might be a computer problem or a signal that goes to the clutch.

Check the thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) in the evaporator--it's the sensor, I believe, he senses is bad.

I have had a similar problem with my 2003 Accord V6 in which the AC has suddenly stopped producing cold air, but still blows (and the temperature sensor works as when I change the temperature setting on "auto" the blower speeds up or down). Also, even stranger, the lights for my gear display (Park, Neutral, D, D3, D2, D2) suddenly went out. Wondering if there is a connection. Of course, my warranty just expired this past August, so I am hoping that someone has a "inexpensive" recommendation. Thanks in advance.

Gomeygoo, your problem sounds like the blower motor resistor. Has anyone figured out what the problem is with the AC not working? Mine has started doing this exact same thing and they cant figure out what is wrong with it.

I have had multiple problems with mine. First the air cooled but not well. Clutch came on and Pressure in the system on the cool side is good (45psi). I have to check out the high side pressure. Now the cooling fan in the front of the car is staying on and killing the battery. I am going to spending the evening troubleshooting this problem. I have the dealer service manual and I will get to the bottom
