| autonissan hello,
I have a 94 nissan maxima, 6 cyl, I went to a mechanic to check why my steering was shaking when I drive on high way, We looked under the car and found that the left side (driver side) Axile rubber was broken, the mechanic asked me to get a rebuild Axile. He ordered one part and tried to fix it, but it was may be a wrong size part, but my question is that while he was trying to fix it, he used forced and used hammer to on the other end of the axile to get it in the transmission hole, I am concern that when the force was applied and the axile did not get in, could it damage the threading or any part of the tramission where the axile gets in. I am just worried that by forcing or hammering the other part of the axile to fit in the tramission hole caould damage the transmission and the threading inside. The mechanic cound not fix the part and ordered a different part and the other part was an easy fix when grease was applied. thank you for urtime and have a good day..
