| First check all of your fuses. There should be some right under the steering wheel and then some under the hood in front of the driver usually. If you don't have a fuse tester, pull them out individually and look to make sure the two metal bars are connected inside the clear plastic piece. If they are all good, look on your battery and find the positive terminal. It will be the post on the battery with the big plus sign. Follow the positive line back until it comes to a cylinder, usually black. This should be your starter solenoid. Make sure the positive line is connected to it. there should be a smaller line also on the solenoid, make sure it's attached. If the positive cable is not attached to anything other than the battery, pull the chord as close to the engine as possible without touching the engine. I repeat, do NOT touch the engine with this chord. Big sparks are a bad thing. On the solenoid, there is one big bolt and one small bolt. Both require a wire to be attached. |
