Ford Radio

I would like to know how to fix a cd player that "breaks up" when the cd is playing. It's a ford radio in a 99 mercury mountaineer. Also, if someone knows where to get a new or repaired radio for this vehicle please let me know. I have the steering wheel controls for this vehicle.

I have the perfect site for you. It's at SHAREAMEMORY.COM, click on the link to the "radio fix". This site is AWESOME! My problem (no display) was quick and easy, that site is VERY helpful and may be able to either swap boards or point you in the right direction. I, probably like you, would rather keep the Ford radio in my 99 explorer simply because of the steering wheel controls.
