blower unit works when it wants

I have a 2002 L100 Saturn. The blower works when it wants to. I can feel the compressor kick on. When it does work it works great. Does not matter what setting 1,2,3,4. What can cause this?

Try spraying control panel buttons with WD-40--wipe off excess.

Are you talking about spraying the swivel switch on the outside dash above my hot cold/ac/rear defrost?

You have to use your own judgment, but I thought you may have control buttons.

I don't really recommend spraying anything. I think your blower motor needs to be replaced.

ddollinger agrees: I agree. First check to make sure the wiring is not loose, if it isn't it sounds like your blower motor is going out.
