Batteries worth anything?

Are dead car batteries worth anything for salvage? I know they used to be, I remember getting $10 a piece for them at a salvage yard, but then they became worth less and less. just wondering if there's been any change in this matter, if they're worth anything again. I have a few laying around that I need to get rid of, so I need to know what route to go here.....Thanks.

Use to get $10.00 and worth less now

Where I live they use to be worth a quarter and went up to a whole dollar a couple years ago

Call a couple scrap yards and see what they say they are worth. Evidently different
regions have a hugh difference.
Copper in my area is $2.80.
